Credit bureaus are the ones who maintain a record of all your credit history that allows you to get credit in the future for purchases such as cars or homes. Your credit will also help you sign up for other services such as cell phones. Banks, car dealerships, local phone companies all are able to access your entire credit history from any of the major credit bureaus when you apply for a loan or service and may approve/decline your request on the spot, depending on your credit information.
